Our client is on an exciting growth journey, and they are looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager to join the team. You’ll have one person reporting to you. You’ll also be part of a technical committee with other quality and regulatory professionals from the industry, providing mutual support and collaboration. Your role will focus on ensuring compliance and maintaining high-quality standards as we bring our innovative aroma solutions to market. You’ll report directly to the management team and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products as we scale.

 

Job description:

 

Our client is looking for an experienced, innovative, proactive, and result-oriented Quality Manager to help to lead the quality department and ensure high-quality standards in everything they do. You will join a diverse, dedicated, and international team of scientists and commercial people who work closely together on bringing this new innovation to market.

 

Your tasks will include:

 

  • Maintaining and ensuring compliance with established quality assurance policies and procedures. Overseeing and managing our documentation systems.

 

  • Ensuring compliance with food legislation for flavor ingredients, including reviewing and approving COA and SDS for our products.

 

  • Managing the quality manual, including HACCP analysis.

 

  • Performing and overseeing GC analysis to ensure product quality and consistency.

 

  • Reviewing and approving product documentation such as batch records and SOPs.

 

  • Leading and managing a small team, including their training and development on quality-related issues.

 

  • Investigating and resolving product quality issues.

 

  • Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, regulatory changes, and implementing necessary adjustments.

 

  • Supporting the team to ensure high-quality product development and production.

 

Professional requirements:

 

  • Degree in biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry, biological science, food science or related Experience with quality management, quality control and food safety management

 

  • Quality assurance experience from biotech

 

  • GC analysis

 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a busy and sometimes high pressure environment.

 

  • Good interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders

 

  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve analytically.

 

  • Passion for our mission to reduce the climate impact of the flavor and fragrance industry.

 

  • Fluent in English at a professional level

 

Bonus point if you have:

 

  • Experience working with ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000

 

  • Regulatory experience
