An innovative Danish med-tech company is seeking an experienced Board Member to join its dynamic leadership team. The company is pioneering breakthrough glucose monitoring technology.
This board role will be instrumental in shaping and validating commercial business models, aligning the board and management around a robust scaling strategy, and supporting fundraising and strategic partnerships. The appointee will bring significant commercial acumen and a strong understanding of healthcare markets to guide the company through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Model Development

Propose, validate, and refine go-to-market strategies (B2B, B2C, licensing), pricing structures, and reimbursement pathways.

Leverage commercial and healthcare market expertise to advise on monetization approaches.
Strategic Alignment

Facilitate workshops and discussions to build alignment across the board and management team on key strategies, performance indicators, budgets, and milestones.

Ensure the board remains focused on high-impact decisions while avoiding operational micromanagement.
Fundraising & Investor Relations

Contribute to the development of compelling investor materials and presentations.

Engage directly with venture capital firms, corporate investors, and public funding bodies.

Leverage professional networks to identify potential funding sources and strategic supporters.
Licensing & Partnerships

Identify and connect with potential partners across pharma, tech, and distribution channels.

Provide guidance on the negotiation of licensing, co-development agreements, and commercial contracts.
Governance & Oversight

Support the establishment of robust governance frameworks.

Help maintain clear oversight of financial performance, compliance, and strategic execution.

Track and report on progress against defined performance metrics.
Mentoring & Leadership Support

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior commercial leadership.

Offer insights on market positioning, international rollout strategies, and key strategic decisions.
Ideal Profile

10+ years of commercial leadership experience within med-tech, biotech, or pharma, particularly in scaling organizations.

Demonstrated success in validating business models and forging partnerships or licensing deals.

Extensive network within investor communities, healthcare systems, and pharmaceutical/technology sectors.

Prior board or advisory experience within growth-stage or innovative healthcare companies.

Skilled facilitator capable of driving strategic consensus and constructively challenging management.

Deep understanding of governance principles, fiduciary duties, and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication skills in English (fluency in Danish is advantageous).
