This role sits at the crossroads of science, execution, and leadership. You’re not just managing timelines — you’re aligning stakeholders, navigating technical depth, and keeping the full CMC scope moving with intention and precision.
We’re hiring on behalf of a biotech company that develops life-changing therapies — and is scaling fast. They need someone who speaks the language of scientists, understands the reality of GMP manufacturing, and can hold steady when projects evolve (or hit turbulence).
This is high-accountability work with a high-trust team. You won’t be micromanaged. You will be expected to own your projects, guide your teams, and bring calm structure to a highly regulated, always-moving environment.

What you’ll actually do:

• Lead cross-functional CMC development projects from proposal through delivery in collaboration with external stakeholders
• Interface directly with technical teams and external stakeholders — you’re the translator and the driver
• Coordinate inputs across Process Development, Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory, and more
• Manage risk proactively using scientific and operational insight
• Prepare and facilitate technical project meetings — and ensure follow-through
• Track progress, escalate when needed, and always know what’s next
• Build relationships that go beyond check-ins — with internal teams and external partners

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of project leadership experience in biotech or pharma (CMC focus essential)
• Strong working knowledge of GMP, CMC development, and tech transfer processes
• A scientific background — MSc or higher in life sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar
• Excellent communication and coordination skills (especially across silos)
• A steady hand in complex, fast-paced, regulated environments
• A mindset that’s both structured and flexible
• Professional fluency in English – We are accepting relocators
