This is a Data Engineer role at a Swedish healthcare company where you would get the chance to take on the role as Project Leader as they expand their Data Analytics team to support all internal departments.

This is a company that grew from 40 to over 400 people in just the last couple of years, including entering several new Europeans markets in that timeframe. Seeing as they are distributing OTC (over-the-counter) healthcare products, they are a very consumer oriented business able to market their products directly to their potential customers. This differs from prescription drugs that can only be prescribed by a doctor, but also means that the Data Analytics team plays a much bigger part for them in terms of optimizing data and the costumer experience in general.

The above is where a lot of the current data engineering projects are aimed, but you can also expect to support other departments in the future (finance, operations, medical etc.). They use Azure Databricks as their analytics platform, so having experience withthis and lakehouse architecture is key.

General tasks that you will be working on is to design and optimize data pipelines on this platform as well as working closely with the internal stakeholders for each team to tailor the solutions for them. So think of it a bit like an internal consultant moving from project to project, but with a longer scope as you are still consulting the same business on a permanent basis.

The office is located centrally in Stockholm, just a few minutes from the central station. They offer a hybrid working scheme with 2 days per week in the office (or more if you prefer that).

Required Skills:

• Databricks and Lakehouse Architecture experience is a must
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and Spark.
• CI/CD Pipelines
• ETL/ELT Processing
• A consultative approach
• Curiosity to grow in terms of AI/ML possibilities
• Fluency in English (Swedish is not required)

Nice to have Skills:

• Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud Services
• Hands-on experience with REST API’s
• Delta Live Tables and Workflows
