Field Service Engineer
Black Swans Exist
Overview
Work with advanced microbiology automation systems that help the healthcare sector become more efficient, by being able to run more diagnostic tests in a shorter amount of time (with less risk of contamination at the same time).
The technology our client works with is actually quite unique in its specific applications and therefore both highly respected but also in demand across the world, including Denmark. So not only are the likely to grow which ensures work stability, but the skills you learn will also be highly desirable for many years to come.
You’ll cover the Danish market primarily, with occasional trips to other countries in the Nordics/Europe to help out when needed (or for larger installations). So there will be quite extensive travel needed, but most of it can be done during the day. Having the availability to do 50+ overnights per year could be good just in case.
You will be based remotely and ideally you are based somewhere between Copenhagen – Odense – Aarhus, as the main clients are hospitals. You will of course also get a company car in order to get around.
What you’ll do
Installing, maintaining and repairing automation systems is the main tasks in this position. You’ll work directly with clients and building long-term relationships that keep systems and business running smoothly. This company has a 24 hour service contract, meaning that you need to be on-site within a day if something breaks down. Some of the support will also be remote, so it might not always be necessary to drive to their site.
What you’ll need
- 1–2 years of field service experience in mechatronics, automation or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mindset
- Flexibility to travel, sometimes across Denmark (and perhaps the occasional international trip)
- Fluency in Danish and English.
About the company
The business specialises in microbioloty automation equipment for the healthcare sector. Their systems enable them to run many simultaneous microbiological tests, in an isolated system that minimized contamination risks. Over 1000 machines have already been installed across the globe and the demand keeps rising due to its fairly unique capacities.
