Technical Sales Representative
Black Swans Exist
Technical Sales Representative – Malmö or Copenhagen
This is a Technical Sales role for European laboratory instrumentation company with a long history in the market. They are today owned by a foundation and invests 15% of their turnover into R&D, meaning they are continuously staying at the forefront of the “premium” segment the market without having to chase the same quarterly shareholder targets.
This position has come about since one of their longstanding employees will be retiring in 2025, so the idea is that you will be able to initially get onboarded before they leave.
The emphasis is really on the technical aspects in this position. You will be selling capital equipment with long and sometimes slow sales processes. These are high value instruments ranging from around 500k – 5mil SEK in value roughly speaking and you would actually get a commission on each sale (uncapped).
Many potential customers have likely already bought their products in the past, so getting a foot in the door won’t be too difficult, but its being able to walk them through the entire sales cycle.
It means that the amount of travelling itself is somewhat limited (up to 30 days) as most customers only buy this equipment on rare occasions given its cost. However, it is important to stay on top of the market to be there when it happens. Patience is key.
This is a Nordic position based out of either the Skåne area of Sweden or the Sjælland area of Denmark. They Nordic HQ is located in Malmö with another local office in Copenhagen as well.

You will get a company car and the full package also includes additional pension, healthcare insurance and a wellness allowance (friskvårdsbidrag) on top of the regular basic salary. There is also an un-capped bonus system based on a percentage of the sales made.
You will get a Swedish or Danish employment contract depending on where you live.
