Job Description: Senior Upstream Scientist – MSAT

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Upstream Scientist to join our Process Science / Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) team. In this critical role, you will act as a subject matter expert in cell culture processes, ensuring the successful introduction, transfer, and implementation of client-specific methods into large-scale Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities. This position is ideal for a professional passionate about biological manufacturing, innovation, and collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Cell Culture Process Implementation
  • Lead the integration and scale-up of client cell culture processes into GMP manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the transfer of client programs, working to adapt processes for large-scale production.
• Collaborative Engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management, to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with international clients to align on project objectives, timelines, and technical requirements, ensuring effective communication and partnership.
• Data Analysis and Problem-Solving
  • Analyze manufacturing and laboratory data to monitor process performance, conduct root cause investigations, and assess process impacts.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to clients, addressing challenges and ensuring the robustness of manufacturing processes.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship
  • Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work culture.
  • Lead by example in promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and technical excellence within the team.
• Innovation and Strategic Projects
