Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Product, you will be a key driver in shaping the future of our product offerings. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the CEO and team to define and execute our product strategy. Your expertise in generative AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Cloud-Computing , and Model Finetuning will be instrumental in advancing our bespoke AI system, which is built on a large foundational LLM and trained specifically on our domain expertise, to deliver innovative cancer genomics solutions. Given the current size of our team, you will be involved in both strategic planning and practical implementation, and your work will impact cancer patients from Day One.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and articulate a clear and compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with CGC Genomics’ mission and objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and define product roadmaps to meet customer needs and industry trends.
- Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch and iteration.
AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning:
- Drive the integration of AI and machine learning technologies into our product(s).
- Develop and deploy data science models and algorithms to enhance product functionality and value.
- Ensure continuous retraining and optimization of machine learning models to maintain accuracy and relevance in collaboration with the rest of the team.
Cloud Strategy and Implementation:
- Lead the development and implementation of cloud-based solutions to ensure product scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate cloud services and tools that enhance product capabilities and user experience.
Hands-on Development:
- Actively participate in the design, development, and testing of new product features and enhancements.
- Work closely with the CEO to implement and refine product functionalities based on user feedback and market demands.
Customer and Market Insights:
- Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform product development and enhancements.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CEO and team to ensure alignment and successful product launch(es).
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively within the organization and to external stakeholders.
- Foster a customer-centric approach to product development, ensuring our products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product management or related roles, with a strong emphasis on AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cloud technologies.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering innovative technology products.
- Deep understanding of model retraining and optimization in a production environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
- Passion for a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry and for cancer patients all over the world.
