Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and compassionate VP of People and Culture to join our leadership team and shape a culture of inclusion, innovation, and high performance. This critical role will oversee the development and implementation of people strategies that align with our mission and growth ambitions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP will work closely with senior leaders to build an environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent while nurturing an organizational culture that supports our mission to transform lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Design and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with our mission, vision, and business goals. Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on human capital and culture-related initiatives.
- Culture Development: Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and collaboration that reflects our core values. Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and create a high-performance environment.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention: Develop strategies to attract and retain diverse, top-tier talent. Partner with leaders to execute effective workforce and succession planning.
- Employee Development: Implement robust learning and development programs that support continuous employee growth and leadership development for future organizational needs.
- HR Operations and Compliance: Oversee HR operations, including performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance with local and international labor laws. Ensure HR policies are aligned with organizational goals and values.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Lead the design and implementation of a DEI strategy to foster a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and heard.
- Change Management: Manage organizational change initiatives, such as scaling efforts, restructures, or mergers and acquisitions. Ensure smooth transitions while maintaining employee morale and engagement.
- Employee Experience: Continuously improve the employee experience, leveraging feedback to implement meaningful changes that enhance workplace practices and policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Proven experience in building and executing people strategies in high-growth or scaling organizations, ideally within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and local/international employment law.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating a high-performance, inclusive, and engaging organizational culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
